Map design and artwork on this site are © GB Maps. Downloadable county samples are provided so that you can evaluate the map style and detail. Keep the copyright and source credits with the sample.
Using or publishing a sample
A sample download does not grant a general publication, redistribution or resale licence. If you want to use a sample in a publication or project, contact us with the intended use so we can confirm the appropriate permission.
Commissioned maps
The formats, editable elements and licence for a commissioned map are agreed in the quote. Tell us where the map will appear, its expected audience and whether you need to share artwork with a printer or designer.
County sample data
Rutland and Isle of Wight sample cartography is © GB Maps. Contains OS and ONS data © Crown copyright and database right 2026. Administrative boundaries: ONS May 2026. The postcode-sector source edition is unrecorded, so those samples are indicative.
National map data
The UK county map contains OS, ONS and OSNI data © Crown copyright and database right 2026, and © OpenStreetMap contributors. It also uses public-domain Natural Earth and OurAirports data. The full vector production file is separate from the website’s overview and detail samples.
Agree the boundary edition
Geographic boundaries can change. We agree the definition and data edition for your commissioned map rather than treating every example as current official coverage.
