What to choose, what to send and what happens next.
Can you make a map of any UK county?
Yes. Tell us the county and whether you mean its ceremonial, historic or administrative boundary. We will agree the coverage and data edition, then design the map for your purpose.
Can you add wards, parishes or parliamentary constituencies?
Yes. We can combine suitable boundary layers with roads, settlements and your own information. The labels, colours and legend are designed so each boundary type is clear.
Can I send you my own data?
Yes. Describe the dataset in your first enquiry: for example, a spreadsheet of site addresses or values by postcode. We will confirm the fields we need and how to send the file. Please do not put sensitive personal data in the initial form.
What sizes and formats can you supply?
From a small page illustration to an A0 or larger wall map. We can supply a print-ready PDF, vector artwork and web images, with the format, dimensions and editable elements agreed in your quote.
How much will my map cost?
The quote depends on the area, detail, data preparation, final formats and intended use. Send a short brief and we will explain the cost before production starts. There is no checkout or automatic charge when you enquire.
How quickly can you make it?
We reply to the enquiry within an hour. Production time depends on the map and the readiness of the data; we confirm a delivery date in the quote.
Will I see a proof?
We agree the map specification and review process with you. The proof is the opportunity to check content, coverage, labels and design before the final agreed files or print are supplied.
Are the sample PDFs free to download?
Yes. These are marked, reduced-resolution previews for evaluating the style and detail of our work. Production vector artwork is supplied separately. Please retain the credits. Publication, redistribution and the use of a commissioned map are covered by an agreed licence.
Are the sample boundaries current?
The sample administrative layers are ONS May 2026. The postcode-sector samples are indicative because their source edition is unrecorded. We confirm the boundary edition for your commissioned map.
Can I use the online GBMaps colouring tool instead?
Yes. It is a useful option when an available boundary map and its editing features meet your needs. Choose the bespoke service when you need particular cartography, data, layout or production requirements.
